Where has the time gone?!
We can’t believe how quickly the past couple of weeks have gone, and that the final weekend of the Worcester Festival 2018 is just around the corner! It’s true what they say; time flies when you’re having fun!
Don’t worry though – it’s not over just yet! Keep the kids entertained on Saturday with the Safari Trail at Worcester Cathedral, meet Fluffy the Woolly Mammoth at the Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum’s ICE AGE exhibition, become a canvas for the Funky Faces Face Painting ladies in Crowngate, get crafty at the House of Haby for their Kids Summer Crafting between 11am & 5pm, and meet the stars of this year’s Swan Theatre Pantomime in the High Street at 1pm! If that’s not enough, why not join The Ambassadors Showband Derby and feel the beat when the Someone at the Door Samba Band perform outside the Guildhall at various times throughout Saturday.
Then come along to the Swan Theatre on Sunday for the annual Summer Fête – a day of fun for the whole family! There’ll be games, table-top sales, cakes, sweets, prizes, films and face-painting – all under one roof! Head on down to Sidbury to discover what life was like 800 years ago when The Commandery was a monastic hospital – meet medieval characters and have you medieval ailments cured! Plus, it’s your last chance to see the beautiful snowdrops in St Richard’s Celebration Garden before they’re all picked on Monday.
And if you’re wondering what to do on Bank Holiday Monday then look no further… There will be music, dancing and other entertainment in Fort Royal Park at the One World In Our Park, the English Symphony Orchestra will be taking to the Swan Theatre’s stage for an evening of classical and popular favourites, all before the annual St Richard’s Hospice Festival Fireworks mark the end of the Worcester Festival 2018 with a BANG!
Sounds good? We think so!
