Worcester’s Biggest Event of the Summer Needs You!
Volunteer for 2020’s Worcester Festival!
Saturday 15th – Monday 31st August 2020
Worcester Festival relies on a team of fabulous volunteers to help it run. This year we are looking to recruit new volunteers! If you volunteer, you will have the opportunity to help with a variety of tasks from handing out event guides, marshalling band, escorting Percy the Peacock, to helping with Shakespeare at the Cathedral as well as being part of one of the biggest events of the year in Worcestershire and seeing some incredible events!
There are several ways that you could help in this year’s festival, including:
- Stewarding marching bands and street theatre, handing out event guides and eco-flags, assisting face painters and collecting money for charity.
- Helping run the bar for the 8 Shakespeare performances in Worcester Cathedral.

Ashley Dashwood our volunteer coordinator says “I enjoy the Festival because it is a great way to see old friends & meet new people. It is a great way to give back something to the community which gave me so much …. The Festival is such a popular event that people really appreciate the effort volunteers make to help it happen. It is just a lovely time of the year for me and one I look forward to. I would miss the Festival very much if I were not able to take part.”
