It was another busy day again today! It was filled with picnics, exhibitions and feeding the swans, find out more in this blog!

Today we started by visiting the Cathedral to see the new Confetti Exhibition. The pieces are really beautiful, they are very large drawings and must have taken such a long time to make, the detail in these drawings is so incredible.

The exhibition is in the Undercroft of the Cathedral which has been newly refurbished and is a really wonderful space, it really compliments the exhibition too as there are chill out spaces and a wishing tree for people to engage with and enjoy.

After our trip into the Cathedral we joined the party in the West gardens of the Cathedral for the teddy bears picnic!

It was so amazing to see the gardens bustling with teddy bears and their owners enjoying their tasty picnic treats. There was also a magician and a violist entertain the attendees today both were amazing and really fun and just made the event that little but more special.

We also watched Merlo Merlo’s magic show online which is a recycled event from last year’s virtual Festival. It was lots of fun and I particularly enjoy Doug the naughty dog and the mini mop trick.

After a spot of lunch we headed to the riverside to give the swans a snack. We purchased our special bag of swan feed at the Cathedral Gift Shop (although there are lots of other local shops that sell it too.) The food is specially formulated by the Swan Food Project Group.

The swans and several seagulls and pigeons seemed to really enjoy our tasty bag of feed and it made me feel like a kid again feed the birds on the river bank. Although there was one very curious swan who came wandering up to us and I must admit I was a little terrified, I never realised how massive they are, it was nearly as tall as me! (Although I am pretty short!)

Our final stop for the evening was the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum where they were hosting a special after hours session with live music and cocktails.

Sadly we had a family meal to attend and so we couldn’t stop as long as we’d have liked but we enjoyed a drink and another wander around the exhibitions and had a little boogie to the live music!

Today takes our event total to 51 which is very exciting! I really looking forward to the last few days of the Festival and there is a whole lot more to cram into these 3 days that are coming up!
