Event Details

Artist Demonstration by Carol Hardie, who was taught by former Royal Worcester artist Stuart Lafford, whose life is celebrated in the current ‘Botanical Treasures’ exhibition. Carol is totally hooked by the observation, fine detail and colour matching of botanical art and looks forward to showing you how she works. Carol was awarded an RHS Silver-Gilt medal for her seven watercolours ‘Botanical Carnivores’ in 2017 at the RHS Malvern Spring Show. Carol works in watercolour, coloured pencil and graphite. She also enjoys painting wildlife concentrating on the fine details of feather and fur. Carol says “The
archives and Museum of Royal Worcester are a treasure trove of inspiration. I enjoyed seeing the sketches and paintings from the early 1900’s
on the wide variety of papers and boards of all shapes and sizes. So well preserved.” Pre-booking is required, please visit museum-of-royal-worcester.arttickets.org.uk/?t=1623492341775 to book.
