Glimmer is a community arts project, linked to the Unlocking the Severn project, celebrating the River Severn and the endangered Twaite Shad fish that migrates up the river each year. We would love your help to create fish scales for a sculpture that will be unveiled in Worcester on October 24th to celebrate World Fish Migration Day.
Head over to the Glimmer Facebook page for instructions on how to make your scale and for some inspiration, including how to use materials that you already have at home.
We are really excited to see what you create! As a special bonus for Worcester Festival, upload a photo of your home-made scales to social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) between 15th – 31st August and tag #GlimmerSevern for your chance to win a wildlife prize! (By entering you give us permission to share your image on the Glimmer and Unlocking the Severn website and social media channels)
We will be arranging a drop off point in Worcester for your scales- please follow the Glimmer and Unlocking the Severn Facebook pages for updates.
