In the last 140 years, more so recently, many historians have reassessed the facts and rehabilitated Oliver Cromwell’s character, and his contribution to our modern democracy.

The battle of Worcester, the final decisive battle of the so-English Civil War, arguably Cromwell’s greatest tactical victory before the Commonwealth and Protectorate held sway for 9 years, is well worth analysis.
