Event Details

Strava Art is the art of planning and drawing an image on a map by recording your activity on a GPS unit and then uploading that activity to Strava. It can be done by running, walking or cycling your route, which can be planned in an open space or by using a street map.

The Worcester Festival Strava/GPS Art Challenge is open to individuals and families of any age. You can choose any image you like, from simply shapes to complicated pictures. You might even want to try creating Percy the Peacock using the image below.

Just record your route on your device, upload it and email a screenshot to [email protected]. (Please note the artwork must be recorded between 15th and 31st August.) There are four prizes of £25 for the best entries and some runner-up prizes.

If you’ve never used GPS tracking to produce artwork before, never fear, there will be an instructional video here showing you how it all works!

This event, like many in this year’s Worcester Festival is free! To help us keep providing a jam-packed Worcester Festival with many free family events, click here to donate through our JustGiving page!
