A five-round rapidplay junior chess tournament for children between 6 and 16 on the day of the event. The winner will receive a cup and there will be prizes for other high scoring players. Round 1 will start at 10am and prize-giving will be at 3.30pm. Organised by Worcestershire Chess Association and generously hosted by The King’s School, Worcester. Entries must be received by e-mail to the organiser at [email protected] by Thursday 13th August, with £5 payable on the door. Limited to 32 players – pre-registration essential. This event will take place in The Chess Square, Keyes Building. Children can be dropped off at the main school entrance at the end of Castle Place, off Edgar Street. Parents are advised to provide children with a packed lunch.
